A magnificent sunset yesterday. This view is through the twisted salt battered branches of the native Coprosma repens or Taupata.

  1. Whoa Shunda! Great photo! You've captured all that brilliantly.
I'm going to keep watch over your blog and do a linky post today, for anyone else who might like to have a look at what you are doing.
Are you going to put Creative Commons on your work so that it's safe from copying?
Your avatar is Southern rata, right?
Shunda is not your real name???
    Who'd have thought!

  2. Hi Robert, thanks for your comment.
I suppose I should protect the pics, how do I do it?
The avatar is actually Pohutukawa, a cultivar named Vibrance that is in my garden.
And I know it seems unlikely, but some people think Shunda is my name, they thought it was Indian!

  3. Shunda - your images may already be protected just as they are. I think the Creative Commons lisence allows for sharing. Anyway, here's the link:

I don't have anything on my blog. I'm an Open Source, Copy Left sort of guy!
    Pohutukawa eh! Foreigners!

  4. Thanks for that Robert.
Yes Pohutukawa is from the mythical "Northern Island" I will put up a good ol southern Rata just for you.
And I like the open source idea so maybe I won't worry about the pics, I guess I could just post up smaller images (that one seemed to take forever to load up).

  5. Well Shunda - how does it feel to be a blogger?
Today's post got quite a few hits :-)
Now that you've set the bar high, you're going to feel the pressure to perform!
You'll end up posting photos of droll things, like to one I'm about to put up!
    Cheers
    Rob
